About whitewater paddling in Dalarna
Whitewater paddling is perhaps the most exciting activity you can do on water. Imagine speeding down beautiful rivers and roaring rapids surrounded by stunning nature with friends. You navigate your way through the waves and the water splashes on your face. It’s exhilarating and all your senses are alive.
During our courses, we teach you how to read a rapid, how to avoid dangers, and how to paddle efficiently. For those of you who have experience kayaking on the sea, our whitewater paddling courses will be very rewarding and will help you develop your skills to handle more challenging waters.
Even though whitewater paddling can be seen as an individual sport, it is undoubtedly a team sport. It is always the group that ensures everyone makes it down safely. This combination of individual achievements and teamwork within the group makes whitewater paddling a unique water sport.
All our courses are led by experienced guides who will safely and securely help you navigate the rapids.

Enjoy our spa facility with sauna and hot tub.
After your adventure, you can enjoy our wood-fired sauna and SPA pool. This SPA corner is located only 60 meters from the beautiful Lissfors and if you want to take a refreshing dip after the sauna, there is a safe and quiet corner in the rapids where you can cool off (you should not swim in the rapids). Our SPA corner can also be booked for, for example, bridal showers and group of friends. Contact kurs@kajaktiv.se for booking.
Sauna and SPA pool are included in all courses with accommodation. For other courses and adventures, this can be purchased as an additional option.

Kajaktiv AB was founded in 1995 by James Venimore and has always focused on helping people get out on the water and into nature. We have always had high standards for quality in our carefully selected products, and our goal is to have satisfied customers who feel safe with their equipment no matter what sport they are practicing. We always strive to offer exceptional service and are happy to give you tips and advice if you have any questions.
Over the years, we have learned to adapt each course to the participants’ experience. By doing so, we build confidence and trust, which helps you learn more and have more fun when challenging yourself on the water.
We have high standards for our instructors – they must not only have many years of paddling experience, but they must also be passionate about teaching and sharing their knowledge and experiences. This has always been one of the cornerstones of Kajaktiv’s course activities and is a strongly contributing factor to why our courses receive such great reviews.
