Whitewater Kayaking, Level 2

For those who have already completed the beginner course

Whitewater Paddling Step 2 – Advanced Course.

The advanced course is for those who found it really fun to paddle whitewater and now want to learn more. The advanced course gives you the experience and knowledge you need to venture out into easier rapids on your own with your friends.

To take this advanced course, you need to have completed the beginner course Whitewater Paddling Course Level 1 or equivalent. Contact us for more information on which clubs and educational institutions in Sweden and internationally qualify you for this.

We only take a maximum of five people on the course to ensure everyone receives personal coaching. On the first day, we start by practicing rescuing each other with throw lines and actively swimming in the rapids. We also practice Eskimo rolls. After lunch, you are ready to head out into the rapids and practice paddling. Your instructor will coach you and ensure that everyone becomes equally proficient at paddling in and out of eddies and down the rapids. The day ends with a wood-fired sauna and hot tub.

On the second day, we paddle two longer stretches through slightly more challenging rapids where you get to plan your own route and assist with any rescues. You will also learn the basics of freestyle paddling and surfing waves!

If you are three people or more with advanced skills, we are happy to tailor a course specifically for you, contact us for more information.

About Our Instructors

Our instructors all have extensive experience and stay up to date with the latest in education, first aid, and safety. But perhaps the most important thing is their enthusiasm for whitewater paddling and the opportunity to introduce others to this world. Some of our instructors started their paddling careers with us many years ago. Maybe the same will be true for you.
