Advanced Whitewater Kayaking Course

For those of you who want to take the prelude one step further

White Water Paddling, Advanced Course.

This course is for those who have completed our white water paddling course, level 2. White water paddling course, level 3 will give you experiences that will enable you to tackle more challenging rapids with greater precision. With the help of our instructors, you will dare to push yourselves and grow as paddlers.

We challenge ourselves in the rapids, take on more difficult lines, and build on what you have learned in the white water paddling course, level 2. During level 3, we learn to use the structures in the rapids to our advantage and practice crossing boils and drops with boof strokes. The eddies we practice in become smaller, and the margins become narrower. Being able to get into small eddies is crucial in harder rapids, and we spend a lot of time training for precision. In addition to paddling in more advanced rapids, we focus a lot on technique where we control the kayak with precision while propelling it forward.

This course also places great emphasis on the Eskimo roll, which is necessary to master at this level of white water paddling. We also practice knots, rope work, and Z-drag (3-1 system), communication signals in the rapids, and what should be included in a first aid kit.

We take a maximum of five people on the course to ensure everyone receives personal coaching.
