Family Paddling Adventure with swimming & lunch, full day

Take a full day and enjoy the best of Dala-Floda by choosing a kayak, canoe, or paddleboard for a memorable self-guided trip to a lovely sandy beach for a picnic lunch before returning at your own pace.

The final stretch down a winding stream full of beavers, deer, and birds, the tour ends at the old church next to a large wooden suspension bridge.

Program:

We meet at our paddle center, you choose between a canoe, kayak, or paddleboard before heading to Flosjön. After some basic instructions, you set out on your little adventure with a map showing the way. We recommend the best spot for a picnic and swimming depending on the weather.

If you choose, you can paddle back through the river with the opportunity to see wild animals like beavers and deer before entering the Västerdalälven river and finishing in the picturesque old village of Dala-Floda.

Alternatively, you can spend more time swimming and be picked up from the same place where you left.

Included:

• Choice of canoe for two or one person, or a kayak for one or two people, or a stable quality paddleboard including paddles and life jackets. We use very stable kayaks, canoes, and stand up paddle boards for our tours, including two-seater kayaks for paddling with children for example.
• We transport you to the starting point and pick you up at the end, provide basic instructions and directions with a map to help you along the way.
• We pack a picnic lunch and snacks, as well as some lighter snacks to have while waiting for us to pick you up. (We provide a waterproof phone case so you can call us when you are ready and for safety reasons).

NOTE: You do not need any previous paddling experience for this trip. However, it is important to know that all participants must be able to swim, and you need to bring some fluids or shoes that can get wet. Bring a towel and swimwear.

Season: May to October, 7 days a week.
