We have courses for everyone

Beginner whitewater paddling – two days whitewater paddling course

The course takes place in the beautiful rapids of Dala-Floda. The first morning we spend on calm waters below our kayak center. You get to try tipping over with the kayak and we practice paddling technique and balance. Those of you who have already paddled touring kayaks will soon notice that it is a completely new technique. But the techniques you learn here will make you a better paddler even on flat water. After lunch, we have a theory session where you learn how the rapids work and how to read them. We look for potential hazards and search for the best lines downstream. Then we paddle the first rapid together. At the end of the day, you can relax in the wood-fired sauna and spa area.

The second day we paddle two longer stretches down lovely and scenic rapids. We practice finding the best way down and handling waves and obstacles. During the journey, there is also the opportunity to try surfing on waves and do eskimo rolls.

About our instructors

Our instructors all have extensive experience and stay up to date with the latest in education, first aid, and safety. But perhaps the most important thing is their enthusiasm for whitewater paddling and the opportunity to introduce others to this world. Some of our instructors started their paddling careers here with us many years ago. Maybe the same will happen for you.
